This is a piece I found this winter while doing a site inspection and a customers house (ME: Swimming Pool Contractor). Before I left I noticed a dry river bed behind their house and decided to snoop around for fossils and such. I found several small pieces of petrified wood and then tugged on what looked to be a small piece and yanked this out of the ground. I have since cleaned and polished and keep it on my desk for conversation.
