I have always been a history buff. I have always had that "wonder what used to be there?" feeling when I see a small patch of trees standing in the middle of an open field. I asked my wife for a metal detector several years ago for Christmas and she got one but she got the cheapest thing she could find. I went out a few times and found absolutely nothing. I finally emptied my pocket change in the front yard on the surface and put my wedding ring on a bare piece of dirt patch (again above ground) and started swinging and NOTHING. So, I quit.

Yesterday, I treated myself and bought an AT Pro and PinPointer from Bass Pro. Went out today just for the fun and I may be hooked. I didn't find anything of value but I dug and pulled more than trash out of the ground.

Cant wait to get a few free hours to get back at it.
