Hello everyone. I’m new to this site and very Green when it comes to detecting. I absolutely love this hobby and hope to have many more questions (and answers if I can provide them) for many more years to come. I found this little item in a corn field by my home. It’s about 3.5” by 4.5” ...give or take. I think it’s part of a saddle. To this day there is still quite a bit of “Riding” going on where I am so it would make sense. Anybody have any ideas? Thank you for any help.

Welcome to Tnet from Toronto! :hello:

The guys here already nailed your find as a reins guide, these were nailed or riveted to the front of a wagon.
Here's a similar example I found a few years ago.
