Detector(s) used
White dfx, and Garrett at pro
Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
I'm new to the site. I'm into metal detecting, mainly for civil war items. I am a big civil war history buff. I live in WV where there was much civil war activity early in the war. I also metal detect for U.S. coins and coal mine scrip.

Hey Mark,
Welcome, I am about 60 minutes new myself. But been browsing for awhile though on the site. HH, and I hope your not frozen over.

Hi, Mark. I' joined about 24 hours ago. So I can say "Welcome!" to us both. Same to you, Vor... I was a Detector long ago and am getting back into it with the awesome new technology. It's amazing. This forum looks like the right place to be...especially with 8 inches of snow on the ground! Can't wait to get out when it melts!

Thanks for the reply's. I guess were the newbies. I guess you all enjoy relic hunting as much as me. I've visited this site many times and finally set up a page. I've metal detected for about six years now. I use a white dfx and a garrett at pro. the white cost more but I like the at pro better. vortex its getting bad outside. There calling for snow tonight here in WV. Happy Hunting everyone.

It's good when the snows on the ground, you can tell where you've been. Maybe not 8 inches though.

gap METAL I bet you've had a lot of good finds in those 44 years.

Welcome aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: West Virginia for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

Thanks for the info vpnavy. I take it you are a veteran such as myself. I spent four years on active duty with 1st Ranger Batallion in Savannah Ga and 13 years in the WV guard.
