Well I finally joined up! I have been looking at threads here for a year or so but never signed on. I live in western Texas where there is a lot of history. I grew up in New Mexico along the Butterfield Trail and the Jornada Del Muerto. My families Ranch is less than 10 miles from the supposed location of the Padre La Rue Mine. Growing up my grandfather took me and my cousin looking for arrowheads and other artifacts. As I grew older I wanted a metal detector, last year I got a Delta 4000 (Technetics) and now having gotten serious I will be receiving my AT Pro on Friday. I Have been hunting a lot lately and am pleased to say I have started my silver collection! I am hooked and will be posting my finds soon. I found a old ranch house on google earth and am working on acquiring permission from the land owner to hunt it. Just happy too be here with fellow history/treasure buffs.
