New Member Info & Guarantee To Increase Your Success By At Least 30%
Good Morning All,
You have an outstanding site, after a couple months of overhead observation I have decided to join, hoping to provide help and tips. I am 56, hunted since 1975 and come from a farming background. I am a state government first responder and find myself in disagreeable and dangerous situations as my trade craft. As a benefit, the "world is my oyster" and I make friends off the beaten path. Degree in physical geography, past experience in civil engineering/survey operations, and military intelligence. Hunting artifacts is my "me time" to reflect and relax in a calm peaceful environment, to unwind and enjoy what God has provided to all of us. I will ask questions to all of you as no man knows it all and we share our knowledge in trust and friendship.
For newbies, do not think all who "hook up" and try to befriend you are allies in your enjoyment, as there are wolves in sheep clothing. Years ago "this" cost me my collection of 25 years, a pick up truck, firearms, 15k in cash, and 3 years of legal fees and time. I survived, do not let this happen to you my friends. Be cautious and keep abreast of your situational awareness at all levels.
OK, now the hook on success rate improvement........ I also have taught over 1,500 individuals in the skills of search and rescue. Aren't we really rescuing artifacts ?
Realize the human eye and brain activity needs to stop and focus 1/10 of a second to see and recognize anything of a size, shape, color and configuration. Stop and search, do not search when you walk. Stop at your own intervals of ground separation. Look down, out/up, up, and up in your field of view. Rotate your body and in a circle, in a 360 degree circle. Do not do a exorcist routine with your neck, do a circle with the stop and look routine all the way around, and then proceed to your next interval distance in your field of view. Slow and methodical, you do this in your permission area. No fence jumping, as the paranoid monster will not allow your full focus.
Try this over the weekend and let me know. With this and other techniques I will share, the rescuers found 95% of all debris to the size of a quarter from the 747 Lockerbie bombing incident, imagine that...skills and patience !
Thank you for your time.
