All Treasure Hunting
hello
I'm pretty new at this computer biz but got plenty time to do so.
I've been interested in combing the beaches here have bought 2 used detectors and got well ripped off both times as they didn't seem to work
used detectors cheap equal broken detectors
I'm looking to have better understanding of the actual machines
there's a good club here local but my wife goes to night school so there's really no time to meet up with them during there meetings.
would like to know if there's a place to rent a detector
Thanks
Danzel S.

Welcome aboard, It'll probably be cheaper to buy a detector, unless you only want to make one hunt.

Thanks Digger
problem is looks like all new detectors are 6 hundred on up
if you have an ideal on a well priced machine please let me know
way too much for just follies

You might consider browsing Sub-Forums: Florida for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

Welcome to the forum. For best results on the beach, you should get a detector with ground balance capabilities to reduce the effects of the salt mineralization. These start at $399 and up. If that's still out of your budget, you can use a Garrett Ace 250 in the sand if you turn the sensitivity down. It won't give a lot of depth in the salt, but will find fresh drops. They run. Little over $200.

Welcome from Lake Worth Texas! :occasion14:

I too agree that the ACE 250 is a great starter machine...Ive used it on beaches in south florida and never had any major issues....as mentioned thou....turn the sensitivity down a bit

Good luck!...Looking foward to your future posts!
