Hello all,
I have been detecting for a while when I was still in France and just started here in the US. I am discovering about permits, hunts and everything but I could surely use some help understanding more about the permits and where I can (and where I cannot!) safely detect. (Mostly in NY State) So far, I have participated in a few hunts here and also went on beaches since I applied for a NY Parks and Recreation Services permit.
I am also looking for hunting buddies in the Westchester, Hudson or Connecticut areas. (was also specifically thinking about Bear Mountain for instance)
I do not know if an actual map of the precise, possible and allowed detecting areas exists. (along with the specific permits required). But that would be a cool thing to have !
