Hey everyone, new to the site but not so new to detecting and panning. Live in Stafford County, VA and enjoy hunting locally, as well as taking spontaneous road trips around the east coast to hunt. I started out using a Teknetics Patriot, which I still have and now I use an Equinox 800. I enjoy searching for relics and jewelry. My preference is beach hunting but, being 3 hours from the beach, I don't get to do it as often as I'd like. I am always interested in any local hunts or meeting up with someone who has private property permission and tagging along....although I understand most people don't want to share their sites. All in all I think this local area could be great because of the Civil War history but VA laws suck. I've contacted some local people, churches, etc. and have yet to receive permission to hunt. I do have 10.5 acres of property which I enjoy hunting and panning in my creek so at least that will keep me busy for a while. Anyway, great to "meet" you all and I hope to make some local friends and contacts here. I don't know of any local clubs but if you do I'd be interested. Happy hunting and good luck to y'all!!!
