New member from Birmingham Alabama area

Hello everyone I am new to to the hobby of metal detecting and just wanted to introduce myself to the members of the board here. Myself and my girlfriend each got new detectors for Christmas and are really enjoying them so far. If anyone is in the Birmingham area and has any pointers or tips for someone new to the hobby please give me a shout.
