My name is adam im from midwestern Illinois. Im new to this site but not to metal detecting. I owned a whites 8 years ago but sold it. I want to get back in to metal detecting, im really exited about it, but I dont have a dector yet. I have been reeding up on detectors and im leaning towards the at gold, but here in the midwest the at pro might be better. Any opinions in my case?

Welcome Adam! The At Gold is a great detector, very sensitive to small gold, but it finds silver well, too! Good for freshwater beaches, land hunting, relic hunting and coin shooting. Call us if we can answer any questions!

If you don't expect to be near salt water go with the Gold. I use the PRO and love it. I would have went for the gold to get those gold and diamond earrings at the beach, but alas it is not a salty. And welcome to the board.
