Greetings form Ruckersville, Virginia.
My name is Dana and if your wondering, and I know some people are, WHERE is Ruckersville? Well, it's located about 10 miles outside of Charlottesville, Va. We're a small town, so small in fact that we barely even show up on the map. LOL
I just got involved in Metal detecting. I've always had an interest in ti since I was a kid, not a day went by without me digging in the dirt pulling something out when I was a kid. It was a nightmare for my poor mother when it came to washing my clothes.
My long time girlfriend suggested I pick up a hobby since I DO work but can only do light work with my physical issues regarding my back. She knows I love being outdoors, so I decided to re-adventure into digging in the dirt and bought my first metal detector late last year. It's a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV. Nice little piece of equipment that will do the job I think. I have have not found anything significant as of yet but just being outdoors, enjoying nature and finding something is half the fun for me.
So that is my introduction. I'll be more than happy to take any tips, tricks, and/or techniques that you good people have and are willing to give.
Happy Hunting.
