Nice smooth flaking on those points. Isn't that cholla cactus hollow? What did you fill the hollow with? I have some of that but have never used it. Gary
 

Those are really nice , seeing those blades with handles attached really makes you get a sense of how affective they would have been for daily use.

It is hollow to a certain extent, I don't fill it. The material I use to hold the blade fills the area around the blade and I cap the other end.
 

Nice job on the knives. I use cholla all the time. I usually cut a dowel about 3/4 " long that fits the blade end of the handle. I use JB weld to hold the dowel. Then I cut the slot for the blade and then use a belt sander to sand two sides down so it meets the blade and then insert blade and wrap with sinew. If I could figure this camera thing out I would take some picture of the steps I use. .
