Me and a bud got out to a site today were we have found some great finds in the past.My Bud found a Fugio cent there and we also found Conn.coppers early large cents, buttons, musketballs, etc.

Today we got there just as the farmer started to spread liquid cow pies everywere ! :P We started searchin and dodging the cow pies (luckily the wind was headin in the right direction or we would have been showered ) We were there for about 4 hours.I wasn't findin much at first. Then i found a silverplated button that nearly give me a heart attack. :o I saw that glint and thought early silver wooooo hooooooo ! Nice button though. It has a floral pattern and is in great shape. It was almost time to leave and i found a large cent that i cant make out much details on,other than that it is a LC.A little further on got a solid signal and found the NJ copper.down only about 2-3 inches. It's in rough shape but i can clearly see the shield on one side and the horse head and plow on the other.

My buddy who is learning his Minelab to the point were he is actually woopin me on finds now, ;) Found 4 large cents and some buttons. Then we got to his place and took the kid's to the old school outback of his place and I'll be darned if he didn't find a 1916 merc.with a mintmark ! My eyes aren't that great and we don't know what it is yet but i hope shes a D !

Excellent job on that NJ copper ......very cool of you to wade through cow pies to get it!
Anytime you want to boo-who over a silver button ...you can send it them to me ! :)

Thanks Y'all,This has been a great site.We only been searchin it since last fall and are limited to when we can go there. But now till deer season (Gun) we are good to go.Good thing my detectors go deep cuz now i gotta deal with an extra couple of inches ! ;) :D Seriously though my Bud has a minelab explorer and he is just now startring to figger it out. Some of the coins hes been finding are over 12 inches deep. ;D
