I was feeling kinda down because I was going to miss a hunt with some fellow t net members today. I was going to be out of town for most of the day but I had about an hour this morning on the back of my property to hunt. Well things turned around within 5 minutes when I pulled the nice little buckle. Then I got the green disc. I didn't know what it was until I got home today. I had it soaking in distilled water and when I pulled it out I could see the shield. Turns out to be my 4th nj copper for me and second from this site. Few more finds and some junk and I was running out of time. I was slowly making my way back and I got a nice signal it was a 1869 Indian head. Any ideas on the little piece with the anchor is? Thanks for looking.

Don in SJ I will try to get some detail out of it tomorrow but I doubt it will get an ID.

Very nice knee buckle and glad to see #4 NJ copper being found by you. Work on getting the outline points of the shield to show, I noticed it has 4 lines per pale, perhaps another 1787 M.48-g, but need to see the center point location in particular, any details on horse/plow side would be a bonus....

Thanks for the comments. Don in SJ it cleaned up a little bit but not enough to get an ID.
