New in Virginia

Hello all, newbie from Virginia,
used to look for sharks teeth on the Chesapeake Bay till
I found out Virginia has a history of Gold mines,
With one right down the street !!!
Been panning a couple times, found a spot on the Rappahanock river that
yielded my first picker

Welcome rwbbts I live in southwest Va carroll county and having a great time digging for rocks. There is a gold mine about 30 miles northeast from me and another about 20 miles west of me. Happy hunting.
