I just bought my first MD off of eBay! Ace 250 seems to be a decent machine according to many posts on this forum. I can not wait to get out and try it out. ;D I have one question...Do you think this Hobby can turn into a part time job? What is the average amount people make each month? This is not my main goal but would be nice to supplement my income with a little spending cash.

I had to agree on some Rules first before the wife let me purchase the Ace 250.
Top ten list
10. Save every change I find to pay off the MD
9. Never hunt in public
8. Do not hunt in our neighbors yards
7. Never ask friends if I can hunt their yards
6. She gets any jewelry I find
5. She gets 50% of all the profits
4. I can not hunt our yard
3. Never, Never embarrass her
2. I have to find something nice so she can retire

And the number 1 rule is??..
1. Do Not let my Mother-in-Law find out! ::)

Just to let you all know I plan on breaking every rule except #1 :D

Dang Supra!! Those are some pretty strict guide lines! GOOD LUCK! :D

Can't wait to see how fast you break all them rules! ;D

Looking forward to your great finds!

Nana ;)

Rule #11: Never Get Married!!!

haha, just kidding.

Welcome to the forum from another brand-new ACE250 user. I hope we both find success!

Following those "guide-lines"

you might as well not even bother buying a detector because you'd NEVER get to use it anywhere, and wouldn't find "anything"!!

Welcome aboard,

HH

post some finds soon!

I am sure that when you break rule #4 and she see's what you find all the other rules will fall.. You must renegotiate on rule #4 at all costs. So many great treasures in this forum have been found in members own backyards..

My wife sleeps late on Saturdays! That will be my way into the yard. Another question...my house is a new development do you think I will still be able to find anything?

Supra

Depends... what was there b4?

A prime example, my old high school is located on land that was a greyhound track in the late 1800's...

I could find some kids lunch money from last month or a walking liberty from last century...

Do some research, you never know what you may "find" out.

So basicly your not alowed to hunt anywhere anytime.

HH!! LOL (Yea right)

You better break those rules or you will not be able to do rules 6 and 2!!

Then, HH!!

;D

Welcome, cant wait to see your posts and stories. HH

Welcome to the forum! Just by looking at the list of rules, I can tell you are married! Hell, the first person I'd ask would be my mother-in-law. She has a great spread just waiting to be hunted. Buy your wife a detector and take her with you. Mine thinks I'm nuts. Good luck.

Dont even buy one because you have to break almost every rule you posted to be successfull. This is suppose to be a fun hobby and with your wifes rules funs gonna be tough to come by. Good luck. Rooster

That's hilarious, Supra. She forgot to mention what you can wear when you detect. Black socks and sandals are mandatory attire.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck...you're going to need it with all those rules!
