New here for Junction City, KS

Hi, i'm new here and just got my first metal detector a few days ago. I'm in the Army and stationed at Ft Riley, KS. I've always been interested in the hobby, just never got around to doing it. I could really use some pointers on how to get good at it, especially with the E-TRAC, this thing is complicated. Also, if any of you guys are from KS, do you know of any good areas to search?

and while i ran my trap line north of town, i came across an old grave yard. small. there was an old foundation nearby.
it may be n.e. of beninga's as i was in 11th grade and no car. let me know if you find anything. good luck.

I've never heard of beningas marine, is it in junction city or elsewhere?

beninga's was close to the high school in j.c. harold and his wife are both deceased . so they probably sold some time ago.
this was in 1965.
