Hi! We just moved into a part of Ohio that was home to Native American tribes, and our creek has a lot of interesting rocks and fossils. I don't know anything about the topic, but was wondering if anyone here could tell me if this is just a cool rock or if it could be part of a Native American tool or weapon. Thanks in advance. It's about the size of an iphone 12. Thanks!

Just a cool rock. If you haven't already, go to the Native American section and look at the finds posted there. It should give you an idea of what to look for while hunting in the fields or creek. Good luck!

native artifacts will be so obvious you won't have to ask.

BTW, If you're new at artifact hunting, don't become discouraged at not finding a lot some times or fulling knowing what you are looking at. It will come with time and experience. I don't know any one that walked into this hobby as a pro. I've been hunting relics since 1977 and I'm still learning.

Everyone should be lucky enough to hunt arrowheads in Ohio. A great state for artifacts. You need to work on getting some permissions on ag fields near streams or rivers. Good luck!

If it wasn’t for the hole, it would be unnoticed. Rock, but I’d keep it. I like rocks that fool the eye.
