I just signed up and am hoping y’all can help me identify a particularly interesting rock my kid and I found the other day. Both of us are heavily into rock hunting, tumbling and jewlery making.
We found this rock we found in a north San Antonio dried up lake bed. If it was limestone or a similar softer rock, I’d know right off it’s a Native American hand tool. But it’s not a soft rock. It’s a chalcedony of sorts and very hard. Normally I’d have cut and polished it right away, but before doing so we want to make sure it’s not an artifact. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
