Hi, I am new to metal detecting and new to this forum. Not sure what these are. The one I think is a cufflink. It has a hollow stem. It is a small compass rose with a n in the middle.

The other I thought was some kind of musket ball, but it is much more saucer shaped than a ball. Did some research and it might be some kind of led shot?

Thanks for you help!

The piece of lead is a fishing weight, if you notice there is a rusty spot on it, that is where the loop was for attaching to fishing line.

Need a pic of the back and something for size reference with relic 1 for any chance at an ID.

The lead piece could possibly be a fired musket ball.

That would be one heck of a musket to fire a ball larger in diameter than a quarter. I know it looks flattened but even rounded it would still measure around .95". Is there a musket that fires a ball that large?

Brown Bess musket is the largest I know about, and it's .75 caliber, or 3/4 of an inch. The British did have larger bore sporting guns for use in Africa, but I know nothing about them. Also, there were swivel guns with a one inch bore. But the find is a fishing weight.
