Hello all!

Been reading this site for two weeks now, I'd like to thank everyone for there input here, 90% of the ideas that went into building my trommel I found here! THANK YOU!

Just messing around on a friends property I took my pans out to the base of a fall and filled them twice, 4 out of the 6 showed color. I came home and looked at what I had to build a trommel with and 7 days later come up with this

I will find the appropriate thread to post the video again with more details.

Thanks for all the members here for sharing your experiences and knowledge

omj, I clicked on your link but a blank page came up. Sounds to me like you have a nice place to play and the trommel should be a great tool. Welcome and the best of luck to you............63bkpkr

omj,
I tried it a second time and the dreaded blank page showed up again. Then I clicked on the photobucket button and got info on joining the site. I exited that window and then the video of your dual trommel started running, go figure?

That is an awesome machine you've built! The two smaller diameter classifiers are unusual but I noticed how they turned a perfect circle, again nicely built. I'm guessing that where you have plans for running your jewel will have rocks no larger than the through hole of each classifier or is there some other reasoning for the dual units? That unit will run a lot of material and save a lot of work though work will still be involved as moving rock to the trommel is not free of work, I would love to be on site watching the material going through it!............63bkpkr

Welcome to the Net oldmanjeffers. I got the site to work and thats one cool looking machine you got there.

Welcome, looks like a great piece of equipment!
