Hey I am a 20 year metal detectorist but I am kinda new at using social media and technology to enhance my hobby. Really looking forward to learning. Something we found a few years ago while detecting I have always wondered about. spearhead1.jpg Someone told me an unfinished spearhead. Found in central indiana. I dont collect indian artifacts really. I enjoy Coin collecting. Thanks for any advice you can give.

looks like a biface blank, or a hand knife. More likely a hand knife

Welcome to the forum from Massachusetts!

Welcome JeanLuque, Glad to have you!! and the artifact is a really good find, I would go with digging tool, the equivalent of a hoe? Paleolithic. If the stone were smaller in length about 4-5" my guess would be a Hand knife as P Allen suggested. I'm no expert.

Welcome from RI.

Welcome from Colorado. I think that's a hoe blade. Nice find; I only find broken ones. Since you enjoy coin collecting more, I'll trade you a wheat penny for that. Just kidding, nice find.

It is a hoe, and nice one.

Welcome to the Forum from Northern Alabama. I believe it’s a hoe too. Good find!
