G2 has 2 tones. Low tone and VCO tone (the duck quack tone). VCO = smaller or deep targets are a faint...larger or shallow targets are loud.

The 19khz platform does great at relic sites - many swear by them in heavy iron/trash. Very fast recovery - very good separation. They also have one of the most rock solid ID's of any machine on the market.

You can make it a one tone machine by reducing the discrimination to 0. It'll give a high tone on all targets then. But it'll still give you a questionable quality report on nails. I've just figured this out & it's given me at least a inch of depth on fringe targets. It's great in iron even with my setup. I use a 15" Nel attack coil. I wade right into nails with it. It's the best relic machine I've ever used. HH

It's modulated audio also. The deeper the target is the softer the sound. It's a very quiet & stable machine.

Thanks for the reply's Guy's .
I actually got the Machine , Small Loop , HP's etc, on Wed the 8 th but still have not opened the Box .

Was planning on this week , but Cold & Rainy is expected 'Dang it'.

Gonna take it to one of my Hunted Hard Sites once I get some Leaf Cover, Don't want any other Relic Hunters to see me , lol & probably a Park Or Field before That, Should be fun learning this one.
