Hi all,
I've recently gotten back into indian artifact hunting (or whatever else decides to poke its head up above the dirt.) While looking around in a new area, my father in law and I found several "junker" points and quite a bit of flakes. But I noticed a little bit of "new" pottery (ceramic) as well. After attempting to date the pottery (I'm guessing early 1800's) and also finding a gun flint from France, I realize that this was a contact site where the white man came in contact with the indians. So now I'm freakin pumped knowing there could be ANYTHING on this hump. I'm gonna post pics of the pottery as well as the gun flint later in hopes of someone giving me a better idea of the time period. I'm looking forward to learning a lot. Thanks and God bless!
