New from Northern Utah!

Hey All! My name is Jase and I reside in West Jordan, Utah. I am retired, and plan on hunting for gold starting this spring around the area in which I reside. I have never panned for gold before, and so I have been studying-up on the subject in anticipation (and of course watching associated YouTube videos). Anyone who has any advice on gold prospecting, equipment, etc., please feel free to chime in. Also, anyone from Utah, especially Northern Utah, who goes out prospecting and wouldn't mind going with a newbie, I would love to hear from you.
