New from LA, so how do I get started?

Hi everyone! I'm new to treasure hunting, I'm really interested in shipwrecks, buried treasure, and anything historical, but I'm open to other things like prospecting, etc. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice to help me get started, any info is appreciated, thanks! ^_^

Do a search for local clubs in your area and go to a meeting. Lots of help to be found in local clubs.
There's a huge amount of info on Tnet to keep you busy for a looong time. Don't rush out and buy equipment without talking to someone in the hobby or ask here at the best forum on the net for our hobby.
