Hey Mantle, Also from Maryland down in Anne Arundel County near Fort Meade. I purchased my second Minelab about 4 years ago for about $800, don't remember the model though but it was the best they had at the time. I've never done treasure hunting but I've done alot of Civil War relic hunting and have done pretty well, but I've also been looking for a hunting buddy and I don't want to join a club, down here the clubs are all clique in nature and I can't stand that.
