Hello, Dave here from Central Indiana. I chose to join this forum after finding myself here after several general web searches pertaining to detecting. I busy myself with several hobbies aside from my full time job including beekeeping and woodturning/woodworking. I love history and anything treasure hunting related. I am glued to most cable shows on History and Discovery. I started detecting 6 years ago with a simple radio shack unit and then upgraded to a White's Spectrum. Sold the Whites because I needed the cash and was not getting out enough. I, like a few others I see here found themselves drawn back to detecting by the latest cable shows on detecting. I did a little research on new detectors. And, after considering my budget, ordered Garrett's AT Pro (got the adventure pack and option 1 with Kellyco). Took them up on the free pinpointer they are offering between the 9th and 11th until I can buy a garrett pointer. I should receive my package tomorrow. I am pretty geared up and excited to get out there again. I have went out a few times in the last month and found some interesting things on my own property with my cheap radio shack unit. We converted a 1960's era church into our home which obviously had many more visitors than not. I look forward to getting to know you all and share in the fun and stories.
