New forum!! Love it, here is last weekend's PA kill

Got this beautiful PA red fox on my property last weekend. Called it in with a FoxPro Spitfire caller and KCC mouth call. Night eyes head lamp lit up his eyes at just over 500yds, two properties away. He closed the distance quick and I dropped him at 100yds with a .22 mag. Of course the barn cat couldn't help but photobomb me!

I shot a grey two weeks ago, so I am getting both fully mounted in a "fight scene". The big red will be on top, the obvious aggressor and the grey will be on its back in a submissive pose. It's good to have a friend that is a taxidermist

Nothing beats an animal coming in hungry, that's for sure! Not sure about your laws, but here in PA we can use electronic calls and red lights, so long distance isn't an issue. 100yds is about the furthest you have to worry about, I can get them that close all day. We have, however, had them TOO close. Shot a 48lb bobcat a few years ago at 9feet. Also had a grey fox run into my partner's leg!
