After the snow melted and the ground thawed it was just too wet to detect. We made a trip the other day and things dried out a little.
The boy and I both were finding flat buttons working through all the iron in the ground. Most the buttons were small so it was tricky.
On two different hunts earlier the boy and I each found a piece of an old pewter spoon.I found the middle section and the boy found the end on the handle end. On this hunt today the boy found the spoon end, all 3 pieces were found scattered over a small area
Away from our big copper and flat button area the kid found a small thimble and then a 47 Rosie along the bank of the one pond. The water level was down so the dime would have been laying in about 3 foot of water where it was found.
I also found 3 wheats, two 1919's and a 1930. The one 1919 is the greenish penny I've ever found.
Some pics.
