new find from old rink

I found this about 2 feet from the road, I am guessing door hinge . I don't have a scale but it feels like maybe 1/2 to 1 pound.

I dont think it is a hinge as there is no place for the piece to hinge.Looks like it is a mount that fastens solid.
Like the lamp holder idea..

I have been looking up victorian cast iron oil lamp wall brackets and I haven't found one shaped like mine but it does look like that is what it could be. What shape would you say it is?

like I said I found this thing 2 feet from the road nowhere near any old buildings, it is a mystery why it was there, I believe it is an actual thing from an old house and not a recent remake, question is what house, was there ever a house on the place where old skating rink is, is it possibly from the house on the church lot that burned down, which is only a block down on the same street or did someone just throw it there? I have a mystery to solve...he-he-he , actually wait I just rememered the house in front of it is on the National list of historic places so it could be from there too.

my brother in law who is kind of a jack of all trades brought my washing machine back after fixing it and I showed it to him and he said it was for a gate.
