Yesterday and today I was knocking on doors at other farms. I ended up with a permission yesterday and spent about 2 hr's meandering around there yard and fields. After knocking on some more doors this morning and hunting a corn field for about an hour and a half (found deer shed)

I went back to the new farm and hunted about two hours, I found buttons and a toasted copper, not too bad for a small area I stayed in gridding. I'm hopeful to hear back from a farmer I spoke with between the hunts. I told him the other two farmers names and he said he knew them. He told me he had to talk with the owner and thought it would not be a problem. This farm I really want to hunt, allot of really old history at this farm and thousands of acres.

Enjoy the pix

Nice spot, and nice Colonial finds! :icon_thumleft:

That definitely looks promising Brad! Great haul of brass and tombacs. You know, as much as I have been outdoors, I have never found a deer shed. Congrats on that too!

You are a man on a mission Brad. Fields fear you since you are after their goodies, yet coins and buttons await your rescue. Looks like another great day's detecting.

Very nice Brad. You're on a killer copper streak. And the more coppers you dig, the better your chances for colonial silver. I just looked in my colonial crystal ball and see Spanish silver in your near future

Looks like a promising area... when you see those tombacs, you know you're in for some fun!
Thanks, it was fun today.

Thanks Loco, you made me lol, those coppers have been piling up for me. I wish my coil would find that colonial silver as much? I just think they didn't lose as much as they did pennies.

Thanks Steve, I want Early American Silver, I want allot of things. I'm very grateful I find these things I find.

I'll happily dig targets like that all day :laughing7: nice recoveries Treb
Thank you, I'm happy, you should see this farm, the owner is a 24 year old very nice kid, I showed his wife the stuff I found today and yesterday I showed them both all the stuff. When I asked them if they wanted anything they just told me no you keep it, you found it. I meet the nicest people doing this, such a bonus to the hobby.

I don't know how I missed the antler when I first read this thread. That's a really good find too and you have to use your eyes for that one!
