That's pretty cool. Simple.

Before you started running, I was thinking cone also. Get all that real heavy pretty stuff in one spot, down deep where she can't go anywhere.

A batea . Probably the very best pan a guy can use. With your vibration causing the material to circulate , the heavys would drop in a hurry. Good job Jim

Thanks, guys. Yes...definitely need the cone. Am shopping for a slip roll now, if you know of one for sale. The jig should also have 3 rings of riffles, rather than just the edge. The weather was closing in for the season, so I had to go with what I got done. I knew the springs were a bit weak, too. It's amazing how well it worked even with the things not done right. I'll get a good one built this winter, and offer plans and maybe parts to build one....these dry jigs are the nuts.

Yup...and with a slip roller you could roll a ring to add height to it. Maybe a small vibrator to prevent clogs. But, and it's a big but, you don't want to end up with so much junk, it can't be hauled on one load on an ATV. The main idea of all my designs is portability. If it requires a 2 -ton truck to haul your stuff, you're cooked before you start. The big gold has been found The idea is to profitably, and quietly, mine the small deposits. I was impressed with how well the jig worked with just shovel feed...no feeder. I thought it wouldn't work very well without.

The biodiesel funnel holds 7 gallons of water. I don't know how many gallons the deer funnel holds but it looks like less than 7 gallons.

The bottom of the bio funnel is threaded. You can screw a 2" cap on it. We use to use it to concentrate by pumping/recirculating water to create a vortex in the funnel. The gold would be in the cap.

I would definitely go with the bio-diesel funnel. The threaded outlet would be a great help I would think.
