Pictured are my last 2 relic hunts with by brand new Deus....... on Christmas Day I was fortunate to hit a small 4 by 4 area where I dug 3 French Rev War buttons ( 2 coat 41's and 1 cuff 41 from the Sasoinois Regiment). Also found was a 1738 one reale and 2 cut 2 reales. On New Years Day a return visit yielded a super rare cuff 70 (Lanquedoc Regiment) and another cut 2 reale along with a bayonet tip, a 1773 Half Penny, and a 1777 coin from the Netherlands known as a Duit. 2016 was an awesome year with the discovery of 11 French Revolutionary War buttons!!! I dug 2 coat 8's and 4 cuff 8's (Bearn Regiment), 1 cuff 18 (Gatanois Regiment, 2 coat 41's and 1 cuff 41 (Sassoinois Regiment) and my favorite my first ever 2 piece officers button.....a cuff 16 (Forez Regiment). This 16 is as rare as they come. 2017 has started off with a bang with the discovery of a cuff 70 (Lanquedoc regiment)......another rare regiment and only my third in over 30 years of relic hunting. Living in Yorktown all my life......these little gems mean more to me than you know! My goal for 2017 is at least 12!!! Everyone be careful if you got hit by this snow.....we got 12 inches in Yorktown. HH Devonrex

Looks like the Deus really woke that area up, congrats on some beautiful buttons and a great Reale.

Man-o-man that is some impressive work to say the least. I love that one reale !! Cleaned up real nice.

Wow! That new machine is a killer, congratulations on the finds! :occasion14:

Now, how do I sneak in another machine into the basement? :dontknow: The boss has noticed the machines multiplying in the basement for years. :BangHead: "I promise just two more machines will fill out my needs: Minelab CTX 3030 and Deus". :laughing7: Perhaps, I have a slight problem; I love new detector technology, upgrades...etc.! :icon_thumleft:

That is a couple of GREAT hunts Devonrex! Some of those buttons are in great shape!

Your skill level is admirable. Congrats!

I love those 1770s coins. Really nice shape some of them.

Awesome finds sir!

Those French buttons are really killer, and the Spansih silver aint half bad.

Congrats.

Devonrex...that is beyond awesome. :occasion14: Those 41's are very cool. Can't wait to see what else you find. What frequency where you hunting in? I'll pound a site in 8 or 12 kHz, then go back in 18 kHz and always seem to find a few buttons that had eluded me previously.

Great group of relics and coins there. Love that Rev War stuff.

New Deus Detector and an astounding discovery of Rev War buttons, coins, & relic

That's a excellent array of buttons. I wonder how they all got in one spot? I always sit and ponder the circumstances leading to a loss. Who, what, when, where, why, how? Anyway, great buttons!

Devonrex, that is an amazing collection of finds...it seems you have a real knack for pulling the good stuff out.

Now head down here to central Texas, and prove to me you can do that here! (Foghorn Leghorn voice: "That's a joke, Son")

Awesome hunts Devonrex... glad to see you like the Deus. Those buttons and silvers are amazing. I think its time to excavate that 4 x 4 foot section and pick through that pay dirt... that is one amazing area. :occasion14: I'm guessing there's a lot of iron in there and the Deus speed is what brought out these keepers. It is a beast in the iron.

Awesome finds those french button where you live are exceptional Cong.I did research some info the three regiment Languedoc 70,14 De la Reine ( for a while after turn into demie- brigade under Napoleon) and 8 Bearn those are part of the 7seven years wars involved in Indian and french war( 7 regiment). Not really action happen where you leave..And the button shape is newer i believe to this period...or may be not i might ask a friend of mine some kind of expert in France. Would need a pict of all of them and the reverse too.May be some prisoner where brought there if the button match the period..Like to see the HP clean. Good next hunt there,Montcalm. By the way Montcalm was the army chief than.:-)
