WOW! :o

Way ta go there birdman!

Nice grapeshot and too bad the plow caught that hammered coin but it's still nice.

Looks like that detector might just be a keeper after all 8)

Very nice finds! That Coburg coin, what is it? A 1 Kreuzer? If so is probably silver. Coburg is closer to my side of Germany. The Swastika looks like a cool find as well. HH, Mike

Very COOL!! Looks like the I D is doing good. Fisher Told me that you could put a little dab of silicone or something else, to close the vent hole opening on the push pad. They said the vent was to let air escape when you push on the pad, but afterwords realized it wasn't necesary.
The vent opening is at the bottom center of the view window and runs down to the center of the P/P pad and branches out right and left to the other pads.
If any moisture gets on the screen (even just condesation) there's a danger of it going down the vent opening and shorting out your controls, like mine did. They agreed it was a bad idea to have a vertical vent track, with the opening at the top.
I asked them if they needed any more design engineers and they said not at the moment.
DANG!! I thought I could of made a good one. Or not. HH

Hey Birdman - was it pretty easy going from a CZ-5 to an ID Excel?

birdman go for it, your on a roll,, i reckon youll be finding gold soon. its comeing..

The coburg coin is a 3 kreuzer,my first silver over here. :) I need to figure out how to remove corrosion without doing damaging the swastka pin .I did not even see the swastka till right before the post. I thought it was an old button but it is a pin.I was hopen to find one of those before I had to leave here. :) It was hard for the first 30 minutes using because the ID ,I am so used to the tones of my CZ 5. The first minnie I dug was at + 20 on the screen and it had a mild tone.It had a peice of tin on top of it and I thought that was my target.I was a bit disapointed until I ran the coil over one more time and still had a hit.I dug alittle more and out came a minnie! My CZ will blow your ears off for a minnie but the tin would have made the tone go back and forth.I only used factory settings first time out to get the feel of it.It is real stright foward to use.I did get to an area that was giving me false readings.I would dig and then nothing. I moved about ten foot away and had no more problem.Rvbvetter ,I was worried about moisture yesterday. The ground was all wet and I was scared to lay it on the ground while looking for targets.Great info thanks Rvbvetter !Tallpaul ,I have not found gold yet but that is what I am shooting for. I also have not found a real old coin.that is the other goal that I have. The one in the pic is the oldest for me so far.Getting closer!LOL Hope all is well and happy hunting.

Very cool finds,,, WTG!!!
Good luck with the new machine, & Happy hunting~

69 R/T ? Those cars are a treasure alright. I've got a 68 ply GTX. HH

The good old days,my brother snuck that one in.I opened the hood and got attacked by wasp.LOL

Yep. I'm Birdman's brother.

Here is the latest treasure I discovered.
Don't need a metal detector, but maybe a bondo detector though.
