Well I didn't have my camera with me and had a great laugh. I went back to the sledding hill today and hit a lot more pocket spills and of course cherry picked the quarters again. This gets really tiring going up and down a hill and getting up and down to dig and detect.

Upon leaving this park in Roosevelt Utah I came across this sign. I will have to get a picture of it because I can't remember the exact wording The sign said:

No Metal Detecting all Day Wend.

I kid you not. I have never seen a sign like that anywhere. At least we can detect the rest of the week!

Anyway, back to cherry picking. Exactly 90 quarters, 6 dimes, 3 nickels and 5 pennies.

I could go back and get dimes and pennies all day long. I am only using a screwdriver and popping the coins from up to 3" deep.

The bullet knife was a surprise. Still in real good shape. Will take my phone next time I go and get some pictures of the hill and sign.

Kinda funny if you think about some people pay to stay in shape and others make money exercising. Nice haul!

Here is the sledding hill. Roosevelt Utah. If anyone wants the dimes, nickels, pennies and possible gold, help yourself.

Detect on Wedn. - but never detect on Wend.

I think that spelling error is mine and mine alone. I need a picture of that sign!!

Lol yes you need a picture of the sign....and leave one that says "Wouldn't need to clean up with metal detecting if you'd quite scattering coins...."

you need to go back and only dig nickels and below.

NO thanks. I get enough gold out of the water. You land hunters can have that gold, can slaw and anything else you want to dig.

Welcome to my world! LOL

Congratualtions on the huge stack of quarters...amazing! :notworthy:

That is one serious score of quarters-- nice job!

Congrats on the most non silver quarter find of the year. Just when you think you have seen it all. Seven people on the park council and one of them has to be a hater :laughing7:.

Over 2 rolls of quarters?? That is cherry picking at it's best. Congrats on a successful hunt.
The sign is a mystery. I wonder if it is legitimate.

Yea, this hill is long and probably has never been touched. The park was built in 1984 I was told. When you can get pocket spill after pocket spill you know it is a good day for clad. I am going back today to get a picture of that sign. I am sure it is legit. I probably will play more because the first time I was there I grabbed 59 quarters with 9 being in one spot alone. I am sure there are a few more hiding in the turf.

Maybe the mayor detects , and has Wends. off!
Out cherry picking and leaving quarters, dimes, nickels and cents.:tongue3:
