My second day with this monster 13" DD coil on my Teknetics and I decided to go to my favorite old spot that I had truly exhausted with the stock 8" coil.

Found a couple Civil War minies, an old heavily silver-plated fork from what I'm pretty sure was DC's Hadleigh Apartment Hotel (built 1919), and my first Standing Liberty, which I have been wanting to find for a long time! It was about 6.5" deep.

Also found bits of what appears to be an old sterling bracelet and something for the What Is It file.

Thanks for looking!

Having a fork having the name of the establishment on it is an awesome find that you can trace back.

Congrats on your SLQ. I'm hoping to cross one off my want to find list eventually.

I bought the 13 inch Ultimate coil for my E-Trac a few months ago and have been very pleased with its performance. You should have many more great finds to come.

My Uncle found 3 SLQs in his garden, I was sure it was part of a cache, but I covered every inch of that place, and couldn't even find a penny.

That coil is huge. I bet your swinging arm gets double the size of the other, lol. Nice finds:icon_thumright:

sweet slq!!! I love finding those! man that coil is HUGE, I bet your arm feels like this lolpic.jpg greathunt!

Congrats on the SLQ.

Nice place to hunt there, still trying to find any SLQ that is not like a polished disc.
