I sold my Super 12 coil today because I never use it and the depth didn't seem as good as I thought it should. It was also too heavy for me to swing with my RA. The 10x12 SEF is lighter and IMHO deeper than the Super 12. I called my dealer and ordered up a new Whites Eclipse 5.3. I have been told the concentric coils ID bottlecaps better than the Double D's. I have a specific park in mind that may still have some silver in it but the bottlecaps will drive you crazy after a while. I love the 6X8 SEF and it stays on my M6 most of the time but I wanted to try the 5.3. I also have the 4x6DD for really trashy areas.

I have both the 5.3 and the 4X6. IMHO you can't beat the 4X6 in really heavy trash. That said, you'll find the 5.3 has just enough more coverage and depth that you may find yourself using it as a general use coil that is pretty darn good in trash as well and easy to swing. I have the original MXT and at my age I understand completely your problem with swinging the 12" coil. In fact, my ONLY real criticism of the MXT/M6 series is the weight. I may add the MX5 to my arsenal one of these days for that very reason. HH

I ran the 6"x8" SEF on my DFX and now on the MX5 most of the time. With age comes the issue of weight, and that 5.3 might be a blessing in more than one way.:icon_thumright:
