ok we just want to get an idea if there was a new club started in eastern Nc how many people think they might would join from this area???it would kinda be a team effort to put together good people and good places to hunt and to show land owners that were not all bad. you know you have been out hunting and seen that people have been there before you and left trash and holes uncoverd and everything else people do to hurt this hobby.but the biggest thing would be the fellowship meeting new people and making new friends. if you have any ideas pm me thanks for looking

Bobby, I tried last year and it is just so hard to get people committed. My friend Jeff and I really put a lot of work into it. Unless you get some serious dedicated responsible people it's tough. It has to be a local group of people. Out of towners will seldom make the meetings. I think Bobby, it's important to keep it to minimum of 6-8 guys or gals that are "responsible" meaning they understand and practice ethical detecting. One irresponsible person can ruin or give the club a bad reputation and get you banned from your good sites. I think clubs are great and informative but, I honestly feel Bobby the group your with right now are good guys. I have a handfull of buddies (including you) That I can trust as far as taking to my sites and not worry about coming back the next time seeing "new" no tresspassing signs or unpatched craters. Some people just don't care. You know what I mean? Take care! Sorry guys but some of you know what I'm talking about.

oh we know exactly three of us were out last week walking a new field and evry 20ft or so a hole that someone else had left, you know what we had to do start covering holes when we came across them. you never want to get that name not just can you lose your land but mess it up for futre hunters as well. i think the guys i hunt with have a pretty good name right now and we aim to keep it that way.it's like if someone will let you on their land to hunt it just give them respect enough to cover your holes cause there may not be a next time pick up behind yourself. i guess kinda like the boyscouts say leave no trace of you ever being there.its allready hard enough to get permission on good hunting grounds just to turn around and mess it up.

I would surely be interested in joining a club locally. I understand your digging ethics totally. Even hunting in a just plowed filled I still have to fill my holes. Feel bad if I don't. If you get any others interested would love to join you. I can also probably have a location to offer for meetings. Let me know more.

What area are you in ? I'm located in Moyock and would be interested ( unfortunately I will be out of town July and Aug) R/Mike

Road Dog: If you ain't been there since 1983 you will be a little surprised at the growth Tulls bay has at least six new developments on it. I first started hunting with Cryptodave he was on Tulls bay but he seems to have disappeared! Moyock is a great place to live there's allot of great history here settled in the early 1600's.

I GET OVER THERE A FEW TIMES A YEAR as my parents live a couple miles from ya. . I work for NCDOT went to the new bridge construction on Tulls Creek road a few times.

Nice bridge looks like you guys did a good job with the QA. Of course the kids are still jumping off it to go swimming. (wanted to clarify that)
