Ok, what gives ?? I went to my regular branch of Wells Fargo the other day, and they told me there is a new policy of charging me almost $7.50(above face) for a box of pennies. They said this is a new policy, and applies to everyone, whether regular account or business. Has anyone else experienced this or am I being spoon-fed th BS ??

Havent seen it yet. I get some boxes from Wells at times and have had no issues.

This is the start of a disturbing trend. My Wells managers have told me that they are being pressured to charge for coins. Even boxes of pennies. They are having to watch every dime spent due to the TARP microscope they are under. You may be better off with a slightly smaller, customer service oriented bank. One of my banks ordered me 10 boxes and called to say they were in. When I went to get them, they wanted $113 in fees. They still have the boxes. I will pay a little but not their light bill. JP

I have not seen it in my area but then again I have been away for a few months.

Ya, what's their big idea! >:( >:( >:( I live in Colorado, and i have experience the same problem, but my branch was a d-bag about it. I called and asked how many dollars worth of halves they had, and the vault teller said rudely "it costs $7.50 to order a box of halves from our Denver vault!" so, i replied rudely "how many boxes do you have RIGHT NOW in your bank!"
then she said that they had $500 dollars in halves...wouldn't you think that would be the first thing you say, and then say how much it would cost to order a box if any more are needed?.....let's just say that they lost my business. :laughing9:

If they are charging you $6 or less you for a box of cents, you could take a gamble. You could hope you find $6 or more in coppers/wheats, and then you'll break even and possibly make a small profit.

My main pick up bank charges me 3.50 per box of halves.

I still do business with them because they are convenient and never give me any lip about ordering, plus they seem to forget to charge me for the boxes about as often as they remember. I find a box of donuts causes them to have amnesia even more.

I don't order pennies through them because the fees are just too much to pay for that little amount of coin. Instead I get them from neighborhood banks, one or two boxes at a time.

I look at it this way. If the IRS ever comes a callin', I will have detailed expense logs that include fees paid to the banks, mileage logs, equipment that I had to buy, etc to show them. Its better to pay the fee to the banks and get your deduction than pay the IRS.

Considering the certainty of the demise of the $ underway now, holding as much PM's as possible instead of FRN's is wise thing to do (oh, FRN's are Federal Reserve[fiat] Notes); I pay close attention to the minute details and we are without question seeing the preparation by our Gov for this [calculated] collapse of our $, yes it is debatable how much value PM's or an physical hard asset will be worth considering a cashless & Global system is without question coming- there will also be shortages of basic needs too like food- prices will skyrocket. Has anyone noticed the Honeybee population is being decimated by, by I suspect the Monsanto bio-engineered right in the DNA pesticides, I've no doubt this is killing alota beneficial insects too including the Monarch Butterflies- don't believe the Media hype about deforestation- they KNOW this is NOT true it is entirely caused by bio-engineered crops which does kill people. Search "Star Link Corn" some of it got into human food and KILLED at least 30 people.

If what you are saying is true, then wouldn't the "powers that be" or whomever they are also be killing themselves and their families since they have to eat too? If they are intentionally getting rid of the bees, that would affect everyone since they (the bees) are responsible for so much pollination of crops, etc., and it would have worldwide ramifications.

The cats out of the bag then. My WF here in Texas just told me $7.50 a box starting this week, that applies to every branch in town. I'd been at this one for 2+ years no problems. Said it was a district manager rule. I said see ya later. I'm lucky to have a lot of banks in a small town. But stupied none the less.

The loss of the honeybees has been in the main stream media for a long time now and is factual. Here in CT bats are dying off from a strange type of disease.
What the "powers to be" are doing to protect themselves is out there, but not main stream media info. So if that's true or not is anyone's guess.

I'd consider paying a fee if I were getting an average of 25 keepers a box, and a dream box once a year.
Since that's not happening, and if I was forced to pay a fee,I'd close my accounts and move on to a new hobby.
So far I'm still in the game. I'll just enjoy it while it lasts.

Not necessarily (you need to understand how their system works), they do not mind killing their own if it accomplishes in process their greater agenda, and the powerful will always have their food etc- it is the masses that will be subject to the whims and circumstances of life. Think Orwell understood this well- what was coming, food shortages, crisis in general work(s) to centralization of power- control.
You can google "Bezmenov" on UTube a former KGB agent who defected to India (not US cause he said their were too many soviet operatives in our agencies), he details well how they routinely use & kill their own & why and it makes perfect sense too.

As for food shortages, the concept would work well for expanding Gov control- supervision over food supplies- just as food borne illness has the control Mgmt of supply has today- placing it all but entirely in Corporate hands- control.

Say when a private slaughter house the Feds say is source of E-coli they shut it down recall all meat and bankrupt the local slaughter House in comes the Corporate one thanks to Feds onslaught of local biz.

I'll make you all a deal I'll sell you my boxs for 1.50$ each trouble is they are in a shopping bag. ( shipping cost is 29.95$ each bag. :laughing9:

Same here. I'm not even breaking even without any fees.

Is that a $7.50 fee PER BOX, or $7.50 PER ORDER? If its a per order fee, then you could lessen the cost per box by ordering in much larger quantities.
