I make it as easy as i can if The N.A.'s would have had modern tools they would have used themThat is amazing. Do use traditional methods for the whole process, or do you employ modern tools in part of making these. That's a very impressive skill.
Impressive no matter how it was done. Good thing for some that they did not have modern broadheads, and recurve and composite bows.I make it as easy as i can if The N.A.'s would have had modern tools they would have used them

The nocks are the end of the river cane, just wrapped good and i have never had any trouble shoting them in my Osage or Hickory bowWilljo....that is some skill...beautiful work.
What material did you carve the nocks from? They look outstanding.
Are you, by chance, a member of the Bowsite or Stickbow sites? If not
familiar, the Stickbow is a site for all us old school traditional archers and bow builders....also high class, like Tnet.
If you're not a member, may I share your pictures there? (with full
attribution, of course). I believe the members there would truly
appreciate your work.
I use a home made spline tester, i got a fiberglass arrow with markings on it that shot good in my bow and used it to set up my spline tester. Those are show arrows that i sell and don't test them but i do my hunting arrows.Excellent work!! It’s my goal to take an animal with traditional methods, I’ve made the bow, string, quiver. I just need to make some arrows and I’ll be set. It’s definitely a challenge learning each step in the process.
Do you use a spine tester or do you just go by feel when making them?
