This is my first post and I'm also new to the forum world so if I'm posting in wrong section let me know please. I love to collect stuff! I collect all kinds of stuff would love to digg for bottles or hunt arrowheads but never have. Collecting has always been in my families blood and my grandmother is getting to the point where she's handing some of her things down. Today when I visited her she had a bag full of arrowheads and told me to take a few. I liked the small ones so I chose those. Tonight I was searching the Internet for tiny arrowheads and came across a link for this site and have spent a hour reading some discussions and very cool stuff!! Any information would be awesome! I love finding the history of old treasures

Indian Welcome.jpg Hey PacMan! I moved your post to NMA, you will get more responses & some great information. Look around the site, we have some awesome finds & some awesome people here.

Nice of your Grandmother to pass those along to you. What state do you think they are from ? Welcome to T-Net.

Welcome To TNET! Looking forward to seeing your finds. Good Luck!

I'm guessing KY they we're originally my great grandfathers and he passed way before the Internet. The largest of the four has more of a texture about it the other three are smooth. the next to largest is almost a see through type rock if held to the light (even though you can't see through). This site is addicting been looking and reading post great informative people! Thanks for the information!

Welcome aboard T Net, you will enjoy yourself here. I love your next to the largest point.

yep welcome to TNet
i like that same one the best too
i would like to see a picture of some of the others in that bag sometime

For sure look in the bag again and take pics of them all. Might be some worth big bucks!

Man I hate to be the honest one. First welcome to the forum and although i'm going to be the one that is honest, i would like to say please do not be insulted and discouraged. We will get you out in those fields finding pieces on your own soon enough. You will love this site!!!................My take on your point, the first one and the last one are real. The first one however is still debatable and depends on better pics. The 2nd and 3rd point well, the 2nd one appears to be one of those points you can get at a flea market or somewhere the like. The 3rd one that everyone likes, looks to have no patina, no hinge fracture staining, fresh crushings on the corner notches. This has a snowy look to it at the corner notches and with no patina and no hinge fracture staining it is more then likely a modern reproduction that your Grandmother or Grandfather might have picked up in there travels. By material the first and 4th point would put you in the mid west region. Probably Illinois or Missouri. Sorry that I had to be honest with you...................................GTP

Great information! That's the reason I'm here I like the history, and stories on things! If this site and information was available 40 years ago my Great Grandfather might have not purchased them. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question.

I don't think your grandmother would fib you. Your points look great and the pink one next to the large one is my favorite. Welcome for another new guy to the site.

Welcome to the site. I think GTP is about right with his assessment. If you're still in KY there are a million points still waiting to be found. Good luck.
