Hey all.
I'm super new here and fairly new to rocks and gems, as well.
I originally posted in the wrong thread and a member kindly pointed me in the right direction.
25+ years ago, I inherited my Great Grandma's collection. And I have a case FULL of her findings. Which she would polish herself.
I recently dug them out again and I have no clue what I'm looking at, tbh.
I'm curious about all of them but I know there are WAY too many to go through. However, I do have a handful (or two) that I would like help with, if at all possible?
Thanks in advance and looking forward to learning something. :)

We would like to see some pictures of them. I'm not much of a rock hound, with only basic knowledge, but there are many here with knowledge.

Thanks for the response! What's the preferred method for photos? I have already taken some... but it's just me holding them, outside. The member that told me to come over here mentioned using non-glazed ceramic?

Just download the pics you took and we'll do our best to help you identify, the only reason someone would mention non glazed ceramic is for streak color test to help identify your specimens.

Picture 1 looks like carnelian, second picture looks like hematite, third picture I'll let someone else guess, the black specimen in picture 4 looks like obsidian and the other jasper maybe, the last picture they look like Chalcedony, my best guesses from photos.
