New 700- Still figuring it out.

It always take time in the field before you will click with a new detector. Keep it simple initially by using a stock mode for your venue and just noise cancel if needed for EMI and adjusting the sensitivity as needed to make it stable. After a couple hundred hours and more hundreds of targets, you can start tweaking it to squeeze every bit of performance out of it. If bottle caps are driving you crazy, bump up the iron bias until their signal starts to break up to where you know it's junk. I'd even dig a few sketchy signals just so you can see what they are. It's knowledge about what the detector is telling you that is key here.
