It's the 1941 "Mystery Dial Code-O-Graph," the first Captain Midnight decoder. I believe it may have been a premium of Ovaltine, which sponsored the Captain Midnight radio program after dropping Radio Orphan Annie. Prior to that time, when it was a regional rather than national program, Captain Midnight was sponsored by the Skelly Oil Co.

It's worth $40-50 in Good condition; and in Fine, $80-100.

My Dad dug one at a site I dug a dragoon stirrup?His was in good shape too!I forgot about them until I watched a Christmas story....I think it was?
