Hey guys I'm new to the forums and I just ordered the AT Pro and it will be in tomorrow (can't wait). I plan on hitting some creeks, streams, and rivers here in MS and need some options for you vets out there. I'm wanting a good digging tool with magnet that will work good on land and in water. I'm 6' 4" and would really like the tool to be some what tall... I have seen a lot of you guys making your own tools but I'm not that crafty haha... Thanks for the help guys and God Bless.... Dig On....

The only tool I've seen with a magnet on the end is Garret's retriever, but that's not good for digging holes. Are you thinking about a hand tool or a shovel?

I'm 6'4"too and I use a long spade from Home depot and a smaller type of shovel, about 36 inches long, and a strong trowel.

I'm 6'2" & ya gotta remember also no matter what digger you use a big one, hand model your still gonna have to get on the ground & get ur target, I have hand ones that I bring to parks & public places, then when I relic hint out in the woods or in a field I have a samson 18" digger,& I just got a 32" digger from sask hunter

I use Lesche. Check out Predator Tools on the net. I have a model 80LT... Mr. T relic shovel... 41" long handle. Works awesome! their hand digger model 75 or 85 is also a sweet tool. They are not inexpensive, but should last for many years. As for the magnet, I am confused about that. I have only seen them used for meteorites. I have not found any "good" targets that were magnetic.... but maybe I am missing something.
