it says monarch chicago ?at ??bld for,the back is blank plz respond me and my son got a bet goin on this.i bet him 5$ that it is 1800's

Looks like it say "PAT.APLD.FOR" . And being the back is blank I guessing not a token.
Still cool find though!!

I believe it is off of a chicago monarch piano and the patent # should give you the age I think around 1900's

There is no patent number yet because its only applied for.



I dont know what it is ...maybe a knockout or pry out...but its not 1800s letter fonts.

I didn't look at an enlarged photo of it, thought they said it had patent # my mistake but it came up as a piano when I googled the name Chicago monarch.
