Need to help IDing recent creek find 3" round metal object

Found this the other day in a local creek, It's 3" round, taper on the sides, about 5/8 inch thick and may have had a hole through the center at one time.
open for suggestions.

Reminds me of one of those trucker's steering knobs. They are still used on tractors a lot today.

What is the hole filled with? Is there any sign of threads or spline teeth?
It kind of looks like a bead roller for sheet metal work.
