Looks like Loring Bailey or Luther Bradley...

Bailey from Massachusetts, died 1814. That's on the early side for that style.

Bradley, from Connecticut, died 1830.

L.B. with a frame is the Hallmark for the Leech Brothers circa 1894, but yours appears to have a frame. L.B. without a frame could be Lodewyk Beck circa 1850s. Does your spoon have any other marks like the one pictured below? Could you clean it, and repost a pic? Sterling silver generally comes out of the ground the way it goes in unless it has been exposed to salt water and other coastal elements. It has the look of pewter to me. Nice find, Breezie

Breezie,

here are the Bailey and Bradley marks. Guessing this spoon is coin, not Sterling.

Lucas, good work, but the dot on yours looks to be in the middle, and the dot on his is at the bottom of the "L." Hopefully he will clean it and post some more pics. If the spoons bends/flexes easily, it's probably coin silver. ;D Breezie

It's hard to tell without seeing it in person, but if it is years of tarnish, Wright's Silver Polish should clean it. Breezie
